The segment group provides a list of segments which function as insertion points into the programme of interest; e.g. temporal locations of the commercials to be shown during a programme. The duration information associated with member segments in a segment group of type insertionPoints is ignored, since the member segments only determine the time instances in the original programme where additional content is to be inserted. A segment group of this type does not require continuous playback [TV-Anytime].
