English definition Enquiry Tips Our team of Children?s, and Adult & Young People?s Librarians will provide information on any subject for your general interest, school project, work or business, fiction and leisure reading needs. Depending on what you ask, we will consult the library's print and electronic resources or even direct you to people or organisations that may have the knowledge or expertise. Before submitting your questions, please consider the following tips. The more we understand what you need, the better we can provide you with useful and timely information: Tell us the reason for your question, and/ or how you will use this information. For example, you could say if this was for a school or personal project. Let us know what you have already found, or the sources you have checked. This will help us refine the search, or check if you might have missed something the first time. Be as specific as you can in what you are looking for. For example, you could say you are only interested in books rather than DVDs, or that you are only looking for magazines published in the current year. When do you need a reply from us? You would receive a reply from us within 3 days. If you let us know that the information is needed in less time that that, we will try our best to help, or advise you on alternatives. You might want to let us know the general area of where you live, or whether you are in Singapore. At times, this information is useful, in case we need to direct you to the nearest library, or to resources that are available only in the library. Check your email address before submitting the enquiry form If you are submitting your question using an enquiry form, it is important that you enter a valid email address. If it is incorrect, the email reply we send will not reach you. If you do not receive a reply within 3 days of submitting your questions, you may wish to email us to enquire about the status of your request. Published
